I am pleased to inform you that a regional capacity development workshop for the Central Asia on national biodiversity strategies and action plans (NBSAP) and the mainstreaming of biodiversity will be held in Ramsar, Iran, from 9 to 13 March 2009. This workshop is being organized by the Secretariat of the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) in collaboration with the Department of the Environment of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Ramsar Regional Centre, with the financial support of the governments of Canada and Norway.
