The 2010 Biodiversity Indicators Partnership (2010BIP) brings together organisations developing biodiversity indicators measuring progress towards the CBD's 2010 target. The aim of the 2010BIP is to enable a more comprehensive and consistent monitoring and assessment of global biodiversity, and it will coordinate and support the regular delivery of biodiversity indicators. The purpose of this event is to launch the initiative, and to present an overview of 2010BIP activities and outputs with the aim of promoting awareness about the Partnership, its goals, and its contribution to supporting the scientific work of the Convention.
