Presentation of Japanese approach on urban biodiversity conservation through urban policy by the national government and local governments, for example developing city parks, conservation of green spaces and promotion of urban greenery with participation of communities to contribute to discussions of “Cities and biodiversity” in the COP10 agenda and City Biodiversity Summit 2010 as well as to reaffirm the importance of Decision IX/28.
