Fifth meeting of the Conference of the Parties serving as the meeting of the Parties to the Cartagena Protocol on Biosafety (BS COP MOP 5)

A panel of government, NGO and scientific experts will discuss the key issues that COP/MOP5 can decide on to effectively implement the Cartagena Protocol. Focus will be on the liability and redress, risk assessment and public participation. Socio-economic issues will also be discussed as these are relevant in a number of the COP/MOP5 agenda items.
