Date and Time
18 October 2010 13:15 - 14:45

Meeting
Tenth meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity (COP 10)

The 2010 Biodiversity Indicators Partnership draws on the outputs and experiences of over 40 partner organizations, as well as a range of Parties, MEA bodies and the private sector in understanding the challenges faced in monitoring progress towards a global biodiversity target. In support of the discussions under Agenda Items 4.1 and 4.2 of COP, this side event will highlight the lessons learnt and present recommendations to support the CBD, its Parties and the wider biodiversity community in the development of appropriate indicators, and what the resulting messages are telling us. This side event will be co-convened by the CBD Secretariat, and will include presentations from global and national indicator developers and stakeholders involved in the Partnership.
