UNESCO – World Heritage Centre (WHC) Cross-cutting Issue on Climate Change Recognizing the impacts of climate change on World Heritage natural and cultural properties, the World Heritage Committee requested the World Heritage Centre of UNESCO to convene a broad working group of experts on the impacts of climate change on World Heritage.
United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) Climate Change Programme (CCP) Guided by the UNFCCC COP 7 Decisions 2 and 3, the UNITAR Climate Change Programme assists in enhancing or creating regional pools of expertise in the developing world, as well as strengthening the infrastructure for delivering capacity building activities and developing their human resources.
Food and Agriculture (FAO) Priority area for interdisciplinary action on climate change In the area of climate change, the Organization contributes to the debate by assessing the available scientific evidence, participating in observing and monitoring systems, collecting global datasets and by providing a neutral forum for negotiations and technical discussions on climate change and agriculture.
United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Cross-Cutting Initiative on Climate Change UNDP is committed to supporting developing countries in responding to climate change concerns as part of their overall sustainable development efforts. International Institute for Sustainable Development (IISD) Climate Change and Energy Theme IISD is dedicated to identifying and promoting innovative solutions that support the transition to a clean, secure and sustainable future.
