Notification 2005-096

Dear Madam/Sir, Reference is made to Notification 2005-054, inviting Parties and relevant organizations to nominate experts to participate in the above mentioned meeting. Please note that to date, the Secretariat has not received any nomination from Central and Eastern European (CEE) countries. In this regard, this Notification serves to inform Parties from the CEE countries that the deadline to nominate experts for the said-meeting has been extended in their case up to 2 September 2005. It would be greatly appreciated if nominations would be sent to Mr. Mathieu Régnier, Fax.: 001-514-288-6588 or per email (mathieu.regnier@biodiv.org). The selection of experts will be based on expertise and experience, taking into account gender balance and equitable geographic distribution. In order to facilitate the selection of members of the group of experts, nominations should be accompanied by a curriculum vitae that clearly indicates the areas of expertise of the nominee and his/her full coordinates.
