Notification 2020-061

Dear Madam/Sir, Reference is made to Notification 2020-18 (https://www.cbd.int/doc/notifications/2020/ntf-2020-018-chm-en.pdf) issued on 10 February 2020, announcing the process to follow for Parties who wish to apply for the Clearing-House Mechanism Awards that will be granted at the fifteenth meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD). The Informal Advisory Committee to the Clearing-House Mechanism (CHM) met on 9 July 2020 and provided advice to the Executive Secretary to align the process with any subsequent changes to the dates for the CBD calendar of meetings. Notification 2020-050 (https://www.cbd.int/doc/notifications/2020/ntf-2020-050-sbstta-sbi-en.pdf) was issued on 14 July 2020 announcing a revised schedule for meetings of the Convention and its Protocols. As a result, I am pleased to announce that the deadline to submit an application for the CHM Awards has been extended to 31 December 2020. You are invited to submit your application to be considered for the Award by completing an online questionnaire available at https://www.chm-cbd.net/form/cop-15-award. The questionnaire may be completed on an ongoing basis between now and the extended deadline.
