Meeting Information
In accordance with the eighth meeting of the Conference of the Parties, the Subsidiary Body will:
- Undertake in-depth reviews of the Application of the ecosystem approach and the implementation of the Global Strategy for Plant Conservation.
- Discuss strategic issues for evaluating progress or supporting implementation of the Convention, such as the Millennium Ecosystem Assessment, the second edition of the Global Biodiversity Outlook.
- Analyze scientific and technical issues of relevance to the implementation of the 2010 target, particularly those related to climate change and the sustainable use of biodiversity.
